The Boulder Building Blocks Fund, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation founded by a few neighborhood interest leaders in 1997. The corporation was created to fill the gap between city-supported programming to benefit grass-roots community-building initiatives and the ability of unincorporated neighborhood and community groups to raise money and write grants. Since its inception, the BBBF has served many of Boulder neighborhood groups in their effort to initiate projects. For over a decade the BBBF has partnered with the City of Boulder’s GO Boulder intiative to assist dozens of neighborhoods that organized to purchase Neighborhood ECO Passes through the RTD ECO Pass program. Today, the BBBF administers over $250k of Neighborhood ECO Passes annually and provides a conduit and non-profit umbrella to abet any community or neighborhood group seeking to raise money for a community building enterprise.
